What components are the lids compatible with?
The Tritan Lids are offered as an add-on and are designed to fit the small and medium sized stainless steel liners that come standard with every Chef Station. They are not intended for silicone liners or silicone collection bowls, since those are flexible and won’t hold an airtight seal. However, because they are the same size, you can still place them loosely on top to keep flies away or cover food in the fridge.

Why would I get additional collection bowls as an add-on?
Adding extra collection bowls is a great way to expand your Chef Station’s versatility—perfect for recipes with lots of ingredients or for seamless serving. What maintenance is required for the cutting board?
The wood cutting board comes with a beewax+oil finish and requires regular oil application every 2-3 weeks, depending on usage. When it appears dry is when you know it’s time to reapply!

What finish is used on the system?
We finish the cutting board with an FDA-compliant, food-contact safe beeswax + oil blend. This does require light upkeep—about every 2–3 weeks, or whenever the wood looks dry—to keep it nourished and protected.
The collection bowls and serving tray are finished with an FDA-compliant, food-safe varnish that requires no regular maintenance. Since these pieces are not designed to be cut on, we found this to be the best balance of durability and long-term appearance.

Are the stainless steel liners oven-safe?
Yes the stainless steel liners are designed with a robust 18 guage 304 Grade Stainless Steel that works excellently in the oven to cook or heat up food.

Current Estimated Shipping Date: December 2025
We’re working diligently with our manufacturing partners to begin shipping by the end of December. However, early January delivery is still very possible. With any new product, there can be a number of steps in production that require an extra week or two to ensure every unit meets the highest quality standards. If it becomes clear that delivery will extend into January, we’ll notify everyone right away. For now, late December remains achievable, and we appreciate your patience as we prioritize delivering the highest-quality Chef Station to everyone.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Agreement between Prepwell, LLC and Backer
By completing this survey, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms between Prepwell, LLC (“Prepwell”) and you, the backer (“Customer”).
Refunds & Returns
All sales are final. Refunds or replacements will only be provided in the event of a clear manufacturing defect. Customers must notify Prepwell or BackerKit within 30 days of delivery at [email protected] to initiate a claim.
Normal wear and tear, variations in natural materials (such as wood grain or tone), or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper care are not considered defects.
Product Use & Liability
The Chef Station and its components are designed for home use and normal food preparation.
Prepwell, LLC is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from the use, handling, or misuse of the product — including, but not limited to, burns, cuts, or damage to cookware, appliances, or surfaces.
The product contains magnets. Magnets are harmful if swallowed and should be kept away from children and pets at all times.
Materials & Care
Wood, steel, and silicone components require proper care to maintain longevity. Always follow the care instructions provided on our website or packaging.
Do not expose wooden components to prolonged water, solvents, bleach or dishwasher use.
Delivery Estimates
Shipping timelines shared via BackerKit or Kickstarter are estimates, not guarantees. While Prepwell makes every effort to deliver on time, certain factors such as supply chain delays, shipping disruptions, or quality assurance requirements may result in changes to the expected delivery schedule.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Prepwell, LLC’s liability exceed the original purchase price paid by the customer.
